The vast majority of today’s computer displays are VGA compatible. To be able to subject such displays to a quick test, a signal source has to be available that supports the rather high frequencies normally associated with the various VGA display modes. The VGA tester described in this article is a compact battery-powered unit that enables you to tell, at a glance, if a computer monitor is working properly or not.
