Philips PR9103 Portable Stroboscope (1956)
No disco — no flash in the pan
The instrument described here belongs in the hands of the Quality Inspection Officer of a 1950s mechanical workshop. It is totally unsuitable to disco use due to its rather weak flash level. It does however have a modern-day application the Philips designers could never have surmised like 60 years ago — more about this further on.
