TCA580 Integrated Gyrator
Weird Component #13
A Gyrator simulates an inductor. Recalling basic AC circuit theory, the currents in an inductor and a capacitor are in antiphase. The Gyrator looks at the current in a capacitor on an AC supply, and feeds back a larger current in antiphase to the supply. Hey presto, it looks like an inductor.
