IDE specialist Atollic has enhanced its TrueSTUDIO  development tool for ARM C/C++ devices to include support for the Giant Gecko and Leopard Gecko series of ARM-based microcontrollers from Energy Micro. Atollic TrueSTUDIO now supports all currently available Energy Micro EFM32 Cortex-M3 families, including 160 devices in the Tiny Gecko, Gecko, Giant Gecko and Leopard Gecko families.

The Atollic TrueSTUDIO project wizard can auto-generate example projects for Energy Micro EFM32 evaluation boards, providing true out-of-the-box performance that enables developers to quickly get up and running with new C/C++ projects on Energy Micro EFM32 boards. With the extended EFM32 target support, engineers who are developing embedded systems based on Energy Micro devices can now benefit from the unique, powerful feature set and integration advantages of the Atollic TrueSTUDIO development tool, which recently received the EDN ‘Hot 100 products of 2011’ award.

Atollic TrueSTUDIO is a world-class development and debugging tool featuring an advanced editor, an optimising C/C++ compiler and a multiprocessor-aware debugger with real-time tracing. The tool suite dramatically enhances software development team collaboration and developer productivity, and it offers advanced features including ARM build and debug tools, system analysis and real-time tracing using Serial Wire Viewer (SWV) technology, and graphic UML diagram editors for model-based design and architecture.
