Ethics, The Metaverse and More @ WEEF

Interested in the topic of ethical electronics? Would you like to hear from electronics industry thought leaders about topics like the impact of the metaverse, eco-friendly design, and green manufacturing? If so, please join us for the second annual World Ethical Electronics Forum (WEEF) on November 15, 2022, at electronica in Munich, Germany. The WEEF program will feature engaging talks about a wide range of electronics-related ethical issues, including SDGs, eco-friendly PCB design, the EU Green Deal, ethics in HR, and more..

The WEEF team comprises working engineers, journalists, and executives from Elektor, ELEKTRONIK PRAXIS, Lenthe, and electronica. Its mission is to inspire global innovators in the electronics industry with an open discussion about ethics and sustainable development goals. We are asking everyone — the engineers in our community, potential speakers, and electronica attendees — to ponder and debate the following questions.

  • Do electrical engineers, makers, students, and execs have an ethical responsibility to use their technical skills and innovations in positive ways?
  • Should ethics be discussed in the board room?
  • How can business leaders incorporate sustainable development, equipment recycling, green manufacturing, and social responsibility in their daily operations?
  • How do our personal sourcing and logistics-related decisions affect our local communities and environments?
  • And more ...
