Quite often we get requests for
very easy beginner’s project. Here is one, cheap and microcontroller-free, applying the KISS principle. The board was designed specifically for beginners in electronics. It has a spacious layout, with only a handful of components, which are all through-hole mounted. Ideal for people who want to learn soldering. There is no programming required, all the hard work is carried out by two 4000-series CMOS ICs. The die runs from a CR2032 button cell battery.
