Effective heat dissipation from high-power components

TME not only has one of the largest selections of electronic components in Europe, but also an extensive portfolio of accessories for them. Today, we would like to direct our customers' attention to heatsinks, specifically: products from the American brand Advanced Thermal Solutions (ATS).

The presented assortment includes elements used for the thermal regulation of components in TO standard enclosures. These heatsinks are compatible with the formats: TO3, TO126, TO202, TO218, TO220, TO247, and TO263. These elements can be stabilized by mounting to the PCB (hence the full series name: ATS-PCB), ensuring that they and the components connected to them remain resistant to vibrations and shocks.

The use of heatsinks is primarily necessary for dissipating heat from high-power components – it also allows them to maintain nominal parameters and minimizes the efficiency drop caused by temperature rise. TO enclosures are factory-adapted for heatsink installation (usually equipped with a screw hole) and house elements and systems that emit significant amounts of heat: rectifier diodes, amplifiers, linear stabilizers, and MOSFET, IGBT, and BJT transistors. From ATS's wide range, you can choose heatsinks suitable for any typical application.
