Good news for Elektor GREEN and GOLD Members! Gerber files of over 1,000 projects published in Elektor Magazine since 2000 are released exclusively to members as part of their membership. Gerber files allow a PCB to be produced on an appropriate device available locally or through an online PCB manufacturing service. Elektor recommends its business partner Eurocircuits as the company of choice, and commissions Eurocircuits for its own prototypes and volume production in selected projects.

Also available as a download now, is The Bill of Materials (BOM). The BOM is the technically exhaustive listing of parts and other hardware items used to produce the working and tested prototype of any Elektor Labs project. The BOM file contains deeper information than the Component List published for the same project in Elektor Magazine. If required the BOM gets updated directly by our lab engineers. The BOM is normally an Excel file.

Both The Bill of Materials and the Gerber files are available on the associated project pages at (click here for an example).

But there's more good news. Elektor members not only have access to the Gerber files and project BOM files, but also to the full Elektor archives back to the year 1990. The magazines (and separate articles) published since 2000 have been available for a long time, but last week we also added all of our 90s content to the digital archive. Although the information we have on the website is a little less rich than you have become used to from post 2000 publications, the articles proper are still a good read. Please enjoy the wealth of professionally designed, easy to build circuits that were considered the latest developments in electronics and information technology at the time they were written. In most cases, they have stood the test of time pretty well.

Summing up, Elektor members now have access to a library holding more than 280 magazines, or thousands of surprising and innovative but also conventional electronics projects! Not a member yet but wishing to browse the Elektor archive in all its glory? Take out an Elektor Membership today! Of course you will also receive our magazine six times a year, and benefits include a minimum of 10% discount on products in our Elektor Store!
