Enhanced Software for Elektor DSP-Radio (Si4735)

The Elektor DSP-Radio from 2010 was from the first time open to additional features thanks to the great software programmed in BASCOM by Burkhard Kainka that is very well documented. Now I found the time to add some features to the original firmware.

DCF-Tester and Transmitter

For testing of DCF-decoding routines and DCF-clocks I had build a small DCF-code generator based on a small ATTiny85. It had seven pre-programmed "critical" DCF-time/date combinations and could output an inverted or uninverted TTL-Signal.

DCF Timecode Visualisation Clock

What makes this DCF-Clock different is that it shows the string of incoming bits from a DCF-receiver and their meaning. There are two strings of LEDs above the 7-segment displays for the bits representing the BCD time and date-code. The upper one is filled with the incoming bits from a DCF-receiver representing the code for the next minute.
