If you don't assemble PCBs on a 'larger' scale on regular basis, then the eC-stencil-mate may perhaps not make economic sense. In this case you can use the eC-stencil-fix. This uses the same eC-registration system and is therefore just as accurate as the eC-stencil-mate. The initial configuration is is perhaps a little more involved compared the the eC-stencil-mate, but it is nevertheless easy to do, as the instructional video below shows.

 

 
This production step requires all sort of necessities, of course, such as solder paste and cleaning wipes for the stencils. For all these there is no need for you to go to another store. Eurocircuits has made a selection of consumables of reputable quality which are optimally suited for the eC-stencil-mate and the eC-stencil-fix. In addition to the paste you can, for example, also order solder with a high melting point. You can use this, for example, to attach the eC-thermocouple-advanced to your PCB, which very accurately measures the temperature of the circuit board during the reflow process. But also such things as tweezers for SMDs and temperature-resistant kapton tape are easily placed into the virtual shipping cart together with your circuit boards and stencil.

 


 
A final remark: To work with the eC-stencil-mate or the eC-stencil-fix both the PCB as well as the stencil have to meet the requirements of the eC-registration system, of course. When you order your circuit boards from Eurocircuits, you of course need to tick the box eC-registration compatible PCB.
