Counting Faces with MaixCAM
This project demonstrates how the compact, AI-focused microcontroller board Sipeed MaixCAM can be used to perform real-time face counting with a pre-trained YOLOv8 model. The MaixCAM runs a lightweight Linux-based operating system (OS) and uses Python 3.11 for scripting. The solution captures audience sizes simply and cost-effectively, without the need for traditional entry gate counters.
