Abstract
Today, connectivity isn't just about being connected to the internet. Rather, it means being connected to people, different devices and the world around us. Moving forward, the smart devices we rely on are becoming smaller, more powerful and intelligent, and even more connected.

In response to these trends, Nordic has released the nRF9160 DK, a cost-effective, pre-certified, single-board development kit specialized for the cellular IoT development of LTE-M, NB-IoT, GPS and BLE applications using the nRF9160 SiP. The nRF9160 is the most compact cellular IoT (cIoT) solution on the market, measuring just 10x16x1 mm. In addition to having an nRF52840 board controller that for example can be used to build a Bluetooth Low Energy gateway, it has a dedicated Ethertronics/AVX LTE-M and NB-IoT antenna that supports a wide range of bands for global operation.
