AdvertisementThe devices combine the highest-performance Arm® Cortex®-M85 (CM85) and Cortex-M33 (CM33) CPU cores with the Arm Ethos-U55 neural network processor (uNPU) to provide exceptional uplift in AI/ML, DSP, and scalar performance, ideal for Edge AI and IoT applications.

RA8P1 Microcontrollers
The Renesas RA8P1 MCUs supply 7395 Coremarks raw performance and drive demanding Voice AI (KWS, ASR, NLP), Vision AI (Object Detection, Image Classification, Face Recognition), and Real-Time Analytics (vibration analysis, anomaly detection). The MCUs equip orders of magnitude higher processing performance than a CPU core alone.

The mixture of hardware AI acceleration with Ethos-U55 and the higher performance of the Cortex-M85 core, concurrently with large memory and a rich peripheral set, makes the RA8P1 MCUs ideal for a wide range of voice and vision AI and real-time analytics. Additionally, advanced security, immutable memory, and TrustZone® are built to facilitate truly secure AI applications.
