Texas Instruments BeagleBoard BeagleY‑AI SBC for HMI and vision
Built on the Texas Instruments AM67A vision processor, the BeagleY‑AI provides an open, developer‑friendly platform for edge AI. The compute complex combines four 64‑bit A53 CPU cores with two C7x DSPs and matrix‑multiply accelerators capable of 2 TOPS each (4 TOPS total), enabling workloads from image classification and object detection to real‑time analytics. A 50 GFLOP GPU and video/vision accelerators drive up to three concurrent displays via micro‑HDMI, OLDI/LVDS, and MIPI‑DSI.

Connectivity and expansion support rapid prototyping: Wi‑Fi 6 and BLE 5.4 (via BeagleBoard.org BM3301 module), Gigabit Ethernet with PoE+ (via add‑on), four USB 3.0 Type‑A ports, a USB 2.0 Type‑C device port, PCIe Gen3 x1, dual MIPI‑CSI camera inputs, and a 40‑pin expansion header. Designers can leverage Debian‑based images and an active community to shorten bring‑up and focus on application logic.

Typical use cases include robotics control panels, factory/operator HMIs, medical devices with rich UIs, and intelligent vision end points. With open hardware roots and TI silicon, BeagleY‑AI balances performance, openness, and reliability for production‑ready embedded systems.
